Mission

Our mission is to promote active engagement and influence in civic, social and business areas. We focus our support on community service, appreciation of The City's arts, culture and culinary experiences to inspire fellowship at the Club. People making a difference through leadership, fellowship and diversity defines the purpose of the Membership at The City Club of San Francisco.

Our Civic Responsibility

Arts and Culture

In addition to its own world famous art and architecture, The City Club actively promotes the art and culture of San Francisco through collaboration with premier arts and cultural organizations to bring unique programs to the Club and its membership.

Community Service

The membership of the City Club includes business, government and community leaders who are actively involved in San Francisco and Bay Area civic affairs. One of the ways that The Club actively supports these activities is by providing a public forum to civic and business leaders to discuss events effecting The City and its people.

The Student Leadership Program

This program recognizes San Francisco high school juniors for their proven leadership in both their schools and the wider community by providing scholarships starting at $1,000 and going up from there. Members participate in this major Club program through individual contributions and the work of the Student Leadership Committee.
